MEET THE TEAM
Dr. Ramin Farboud (Ramin Farboudmanesch, MD)
Dr. Ramin Farboud is a highly skilled and compassionate gastroenterologist, renowned not only for his expertise in the medical field but also for his deep commitment to providing holistic and patient-centered care. With a career spanning over 23 years, Dr. Farboud has built a reputation for combining the science of medicine with the art of healing, embracing a personalized approach to care that nurtures both the body and the patient’s emotional well-being.
Now with over two decades of experience, Dr. Farboud is a beloved figure in the Washington, D.C. medical community. His patients often describe him as a physician who goes above and beyond—offering not just clinical expertise, but also compassion, warmth, and a genuine desire to make a difference in their lives.
After completing his medical degree, Dr. Farboud undertook his internship and residency at George Washington University Hospital, where he honed his clinical skills in a wide variety of medical specialties. However, it was during his third year of medical school that Dr. Farboud’s professional focus solidified. His fascination with the gastrointestinal system and hepatology led him to pursue a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Medstar Washington Hospital Center, further cementing his passion for this field.
In March of 2010, after working as part of a six-physician group practice in Washington, D.C., Dr. Farboud made the bold decision to open his own practice. This move was driven by his desire to practice medicine in a way that was unencumbered by the restrictions of traditional healthcare systems. His goal was to create a space where both the science of medicine and the art of human connection could coexist in perfect harmony.
Dr. Farboud’s medical philosophy is simple but profound: medicine is not just a science; it is an art. He believes that the art of medicine plays a crucial role in the healing process. For him, this art lies in the ability to listen to patients, to empathize with their struggles, and to diagnose and treat diseases while forming strong, trusting relationships. To Dr. Farboud, the experience of visiting a doctor is just as important as the clinical care that is provided.
As a practicing gastroenterologist, Dr. Farboud takes great pride in his ability to perform advanced endoscopic procedures while simultaneously offering comprehensive medical management for a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. His practice has also expanded to include weight loss management, incorporating both medical and holistic approaches to treatment. By combining the latest scientific research with his intuitive understanding of patient care, he has developed a reputation for providing well-rounded and effective solutions to his patients' needs.
Dr. Farboud's unique approach to gastroenterology, along with his enduring commitment to both medical and emotional aspects of patient care, has made his practice a sanctuary for those seeking healing, understanding, and a path toward better health. Through his work, he continues to impact the lives of countless individuals, always with the belief that a personalized and human-centered approach to medicine is the key to true healing.
Dr. Ramin Farboud’s career serves as a reminder that the practice of medicine is as much about understanding the human condition as it is about treating disease. He remains an inspiration to both his patients and colleagues, forever guided by the principle that in medicine, the art of care is just as essential as the science behind it.
